Virgin Australia Holdings advised the with regards to domestic operations, passengers carried year-to-date October grew 2.2% and RPKs grew 4.0% on the pcp, reflecting an increase in passenger volumes on transcontinental routes. Revenue load factor in October increased over year-to-date trends. ASK growth for the month was slightly impacted because there was one less weekend in October 2012 compared to October 2011 (schedules and ASKs are lower on weekends). ASK growth in H1 FY13 is expected to be between 8% and 9%. Comparisons to last year are affected by the Qantas disruptions during October 2011. International operations achieved passenger growth of 4.5% on ASK growth of 2.6% during year-to-date October 2012.
