Origin Energy Provides December 2012 Quarterly Exploration and Production Report

31 Jan 2013  |  12:12:00  |  Associate analysts  |  Increase  |  Decrease  |

Original announcement: Quarterly Production Report 31 December 2012

Origin Energy provided its exploration and production report for the quarter ended 31 December 2012, reporting that production of 29 PJe in the quarter was 1% above the comparable quarter in 2011 as increased output from the Otway Basin more than offset the suspension of gas operations in the Surat Basin, and a lower share of Australia Pacific LNG production due to the dilution of the company's ownership interest. Sales revenue also improved by 1% as higher average commodity prices offset a 2% fall in sales volumes. Total expenditure for the quarter on exploration and evaluation activities was $3.0m and capital expenditure on development and production activities was $141.0m (excluding Australia Pacific LNG). Australia Pacific LNG has drilled a total of 209 operated Phase 1 wells to 31 December 2012.
