Commonwealth Bank of Australia provided information on its capital adequacy and risks disclosures as at 31 December 2018. The Bank's CET1 ratio (APRA) was 10.8% as at 31 December 2018, an increase of 70 basis points on 30 June 2018. The Group's leverage ratio, defined as Tier 1 Capital as a percentage of total exposures, was 5.6% at 31 December 2018 on an APRA basis and 6.4% on an internationally comparable basis. Total RWA decreased by $13.5bn or 3% to $445.1bn on the prior half, driven by lower IRRBB, Traded Market Risk and Credit Risk RWA, partly offset by higher Operational Risk RWA. In December 2018, the Bank issued $1.59bn of CommBank PERLS XI Capital Notes (PERLS XI) and concurrently redeemed $2bn of Perpetual Exchangeable Resaleable Listed Securities (PERLS VI).
