Sayona Mining announced on 23 May 2022, a positive pre-feasibility study (PFS) for the Company's North American Lithium (NAL) Project in Quebec, Canada, confirming the NAL operation's technical and financial viability. The PFS was conducted by the Company's Canadian subsidiary, Sayona Quebec, which is owned by it (Company: 75%) and Piedmont (PLL: 25%). The Company reported with modest capex for NAL restart of A$100m, with upgrades to improve operational efficiency, grade, quality and recovery, long-lead equipment already ordered to facilitate Q1 2023 restart. Results confirmed potential for Abitibi lithium hub, adding to northern hub and facilitating downstream processing as it bolsters position in North American lithium industry.
