Celanese is a global specialty chemicals manufacturer. It operates in two segments: acetyl chain, and engineered materials. Acetyl chain profitability is exposed to commodity-linked raw materials and product pricing spreads. Engineered materials converts basic chemicals into higher-margin specialty polymers and compounds engineered for specific customer applications in automotive, medical, electronics, and industrial end markets.
