Wooriro Co Ltd is an optical communication company in Korea. The company manufacture and supply the core components that make up these optical communications systems. Its optical communications division's main products include planar lightwave circuits (PLCs) and photodiodes (PDs). PLC products include optical splitters, which distribute optical signals from a single optical cable to multiple optical cables, and arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs), which separate multiple wavelength signals from a single optical fiber; and PDs convert optical signals into electrical signals and its products include PIN-PDs (Positive Intrinsic Negative-PDs), which convert optical signals into electrical ones, and APDs (Avalanche Photodiodes), which amplify current within the chip.
