Morningstar Awards for Investing Excellence Australia 2026: Winners announced
Morningstar nominates fund managers who have delivered exceptional returns over the long term
Morningstar announced the winners for the Morningstar Awards for Investing Excellence Australia 2026. The awards recognise funds and asset managers that have served investors well over the long term and which Morningstar’s manager research team believes will be able to deliver strong risk-adjusted returns over time.
“It’s fair to say that 2025 was a challenging year to navigate. There were inflation surprises, geopolitical uncertainty, and growth uncertainty. Compounded by a market displaying valuations disconnected from fundamentals, it made it a challenging year, even for the best investors,” said Matt Olsen, Morningstar Australasia’s Director, Manager Research. “Despite this, our nominated fund managers demonstrated an ability to deliver quality, high-performing investments and have stood above peers with exceptional returns over the longer term.”
“We are also pleased to announce the new category of Fund Manager of the Year – Superannuation following the launch of the Medalist Rating for superannuation funds in 2025,” Olsen added.

Methodology
These awards are determined by a combination of risk-adjusted medium- to long-term performance track records and Morningstar’s forward-looking rating for funds, the Morningstar Medalist Rating™ including its Parent pillar component.
