Premier Investments operates six specialty retail fashion chains in Australia and New Zealand. Its most prolific fashion brand is Peter Alexander, which started expanding internationally. Premier owns and operates the unique Smiggle brand, retailing children’s stationery in Australia and overseas markets. Premier is a significant shareholder in Australia-listed companies narrow-moat Breville Group and no-moat Myer. Premier is likely to materially restructure within the next 12 months. A strategic review is assessing a potential merger of its five core apparel brands with department store Myer.
