Rogers Communications is one of Canada’s “Big 3” telecom service providers, offering wireless and broadband services nationally, but with strongholds in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta. The firm serves 11 million postpaid and 1 million prepaid wireless customers and 5 million broadband customers with nearly 11 million homes passed. Rogers also operates a media segment, primarily known for ownership of three major Toronto sports teams: baseball’s Blue Jays, hockey’s Maple Leafs, and basketball’s Raptors. Additionally, the firm operates multiple broadcast networks, radio stations, and public venues in the Rogers Centre.
