Samsung Heavy Industries Co Ltd is a South Korean-based shipbuilding and construction company. The company has two reportable segments: Shipbuilding Offshore and Energy Infrastructure Solution. The Shipbuilding Offshore segment derives revenue from LNG ships, container ships, FLNG and related products, serving mainly overseas ship owners. The Energy Infrastructure Solution segment is involved in civil engineering, architecture and related infrastructure products, with the majority of customers including construction companies. It generates the majority of its revenue from the Shipbuilding Offshore segment.
