The strategic asset allocation aims to have exposure to 50% growth and 50% defensive assets. The strategy is designed to provide a funding source for medium term cashflow requirements (3-7yrs) and is managed with the aim of providing downside protection relative to the benchmark as well as capital preservation over the investment time horizon. The strategy looks to generate excess returns over the benchmark from dynamic asset allocation and active manager selection to exploit market inefficiencies. Currency risk may be hedged.
