The cornerstone of Vertium's investment philosophy is loss avoidance, with the team's research process placing an enormous amount of effort in mitigating downside risks by attempting to pay less than the fundamental value of a security (margin of safety). Vertium will wait patiently and only buy stocks when the margin of safety is expected to be sufficient and sell stocks when the margin of safety disappears.
