Investments may include cash, term deposits, government and corporate bonds, fixed and floating rate notes, asset backed securities, mortgages and mortgage backed securities, community loans, preference shares, hybrid securities and convertible securities. Derivatives are used for the purposes of hedging, transactional efficiency or tactical investment.
